Dr. Peggy Velayo, Alabang Aesthetic Clinic, is a certified Ophthalmologist and Plastic / Cosmetic Surgeon based in Alabang, Muntinlupa. As an eye doctor, her work focuses on correcting vision problems of her patients, treating eye diseases, performing eye surgery and prescribing and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses.

EYE TEST

Regular eye tests are important to assure your eyes stay healthy. A test will give indications whether you need to start wearing glasses and to detect some common eye conditions such as cataracts, cloudy vision and floaters.

Eye Examination

What Happens During an Ophthalmic Exam? Dr. Velayo will take your complete eye history including your vision problems, any corrective methods you have (e.g., glasses or contact lenses), your overall health, family history, and current medications. She will use a refraction test to check your vision.

Eye Glasses

Eyeglasses are an easy way to correct your vision. But there are so many types, like single-vision lenses, bifocal, trifocal or progressive lenses. There are different lens materials and coatings. Dr. Velayo will establish the right grade for your glasses and will help you to make the right choices

Pediatrics

If there is a suspicion of an eye problem or family history, children should have an ey exam before the age of 2. Generally, children should have their first eye exam if they are 3 years old.
Many common pediatric eye problems like amblyopia or strabismus can be corrected early with patching, eye drops, or corrective lenses. Similarly, common refractive problems like myopia (nearsightedness) can be easily corrected with eyeglasses.

Refractive Surgery

Refractive eye surgery is eye surgery used to improve the refractive state of the eye and decrease or eliminate dependency on glasses or contact lenses. This can include various methods of surgical remodelling of the cornea, lens implantation or lens replacement.
